Tomato "Polosatyj Reys"
Tomato "Striped Flight".
Tiger stripes in a jar! Firm, tasty, and very decorative.
A productive mid-sized variety with spectacular fruits. It owes its name to a popular movie and its characteristic "tiger" coloring.
Characteristics:
Bush type: Determinant (medium height). Universal: in a greenhouse, it utilizes the volume for a high yield, and outdoors (staked to poles), it bears fruit abundantly all summer.
Fruits: Cocktail balls weighing 30-40 g. The colour is red-brown with dark stripes.
Flesh: Dense, firm, and "crunchy".
Variety value:
1. King of Canning: Thanks to the thick skin and firm flesh, the fruits hold their shape perfectly during heat treatment and do not crack in jars.
2. Decoration: Striped "balls" look luxurious in vegetable platters and in assortments with yellow tomatoes.
3. Taste: Balanced, rich; an ideal snack both fresh and pickled.
Agrotechnics:
Sowing for seedlings: March-April (depth 1-2 cm). Planting out: greenhouse — April-May, outdoors — June.
Important: Despite its limited growth, the plant is heavily loaded with harvest, so it requires mandatory staking and pruning (removal of side shoots). Spacing: 40x60 cm.
Seeds remain viable for 10 years. If the expiration date has passed, simply increase the sowing rate.
